    Eagle Pack uses human-grade glucosamine from a FDA-inspected plant, which manufactures this material for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies. Glucosamine rebuilds joint cartilage and improves joint flexibility. It is very effective in the reduction of arthritic pain and any bone disorders like Hip Dysplasia (HD), Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD), Osteochrondritis Dissecans (OCD), and Panosateitis (PANO) often occurring in large breed dogs fed a diet that contains too much protein when young.
    
    
  • KELP:
    
    Kelp is harvested from clean, cold ocean waters and provides 60 Naturally Sequestered Nutrients and is an aid to a healthy coat. It can prevent coat thinning or discoloration, benefits the immune system and helps to prevent infertility and premature aging.
    
    
  • YUCCA SCHIDIGERA EXTRACT:
    
    Yucca reduces stool odour by up to 64% and urine odour by approximately 30%. Some believe Yucca can also reduce arthritic pain and improve food absorption (used in conjunction with DFMs it decreases pathogens and increases beneficial micro organisms).
    
    
  • AQUA-C:
    
    AQUA-C is an anti-oxidant that aids in exercise stress recovery. It is manufactured from pure USP (Pharmacopeia) grade Vitamin C that is more bioavailable and non acidic.
    
    
  • BEET PULP:
    
    Is the ideal quality fibre and also a food source for probiotics, an essential good bacteria – in a dog's gut. These good bacteria thrive and crowd out pathogens like E. coli and the bad bacteria that cause diarrhoea and vomiting. Beet pulp also gently cleans the intestinal wall, allowing more nutrients to be absorbed. Some state that excess amounts of beet pulp artificially reduces stool size. We include only optimum amounts that provide the stated benefits. Beet pulp is not red in colour and will not turn a dogs coat red. It is a whitish-grey colour – sugar beets with the sugar removed.
    
    
  • CHICORY ROOT EXTRACT:
    
    Also known as endive and used in salads, further stimulates the growth of friendly bacteria and contributes to a healthy digestive tract by driving out pathogens like E. coli. It also aids in the reduction of gas, which is important to large-breed dogs.
    
    
  • PROBIOTICS:
    
    Daily feeding of Eagle Pack with Probiotics is recommended too enhance the natural defences against disease, maintain a healthy digestive system, reduce stress caused by weaning, surgery, vaccination, travelling etc. (preventative measure against diarrhoea, reduction of appetite or loss of weight) DFMs (Direct Fed Microbials) are a PRO-biotic that supplements the naturally occurring bacteria which may be depleted due to disease or use of antibiotics.

    When reading the ingredients list, you may notice the words: Chicken Meal, Fish Meal, Pork Meal or Lamb Meal. The word ‘Meal’ means that water has been extracted from the meat. It is a highly concentrated form of meat. When meat is listed by itself, it still contains the water.
    
    Fish Meal: Our fish, menhaden, is caught in the cold, pure waters of the Antarctic. It is an excellent source of protein, lysine (an essential amino acid), selenium (an essential trace mineral), Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids.
    
    Pork Meal/Meat Meal: This hypoallergenic protein is purchased from USDA inspected plants, and shipped fresh to the Eagle Pack plant. It is then cooked at optimum temperatures. Few pet foods use pork because it is expensive. It contains minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and some vitamins, such as Vitamin B12.
    
    Lamb Meal: From range-fed, New Zealand lamb, it is used for it's hypoallergenic value, palatability, and is rich in protein, minerals and vitamins.
    
    Chicken Meal: Like other animal meat meal, chicken meal provides an excellent source protein, amino acids, minerals and vitamins. This protein is highly palatable for dogs and to ensure its high level of quality, our chicken meal starts its life in dedicated USDA plants, like Holly Farms and Tyson that only produce chicken for human consumption and meal for Eagle Pack.
    
    Chicken: Free Range Certified, Organically Grown: Our free range, organically grown chickens are raised by Amish and Mennonite farmers according to the most strict growing conditions ever approved. They are raised on a feed formula with no herbicides, pesticides, poultry by-products, fish meal, or protein supplements. They are naturally grown without hormones, antibiotics, growth stimulants, or tranquilisersadministered. No chlorine or fluorides are added to the pure, clean, natural spring water provided for the chickens.
